About Us

History

Redmonds has a rich history spanning over 90 years. As President of this company since 1990, I am proud to share our story.

My grandpa, Allen Redmond, started our company in 1918 on Third Street in Canton, Ohio. It was known as Carburetor Sales & Service and our primary function was a re-builder of carburetors, magnetos, and generators. Over the next 40 years, the business moved twice, became a distributor of automotive parts, automotive paint and small engine parts and my dad and his two brothers joined my grandpa in the business.

During the 60’s 70’s, and early 80’s, the company continued to grow with the small engine parts division leading the way. Realizing that we were no longer in the carburetor business, we changed our name to Redmonds Parts & Supply in 1986. It was at this time the 3rd generation of Redmonds began. Along with my cousin Brian (VP) we took over to lead the company into the 21st Century.

In the mid-90’s things changed dramatically - our small engine parts franchise ended and our company was forced to reorganize. It was a very challenging time but we emerged as an automotive parts distributor for Car Quest and an automotive paint distributor for PPG serving only the professional installer. From 1918 until today, one thing has always remained constant - our service to our customer.

Today

Redmonds Parts & Supply, located in North Canton, Ohio on Freedom Avenue just off I-77 continues as the leading distributor in Stark County of automotive aftermarket parts and auto body paint and supplies. Service truly is our business. Our tag line is SERVICE ON PURPOSE. Our customers know that we do whatever it takes to create a wonderful experience for our customers that exceed their needs.
